Roles we hire for
HMJ Contracting is a growing Ottawa contracting company, and as our project load grows we regularly bring on new crew members. Depending on the season and current projects, we hire for roles such as:
- General labourers — demolition, site prep, cleanup, and material handling on renovation and demolition jobs across Ottawa
- Abatement workers — asbestos, mould, and lead abatement under strict safety procedures and proper protective equipment
- Carpenters and installers — framing, decks, fencing, and finish work on kitchen, bathroom, and basement renovations
- Junk removal crew — loading, hauling, and responsible disposal on same-day junk removal and cleanout jobs
Experience in construction, renovation, demolition, or abatement is an asset, but attitude matters most: we train dependable people who show up on time and take safety seriously. A driver's licence is helpful for roles that involve moving between job sites in the Ottawa area.
What to expect
